At Rancho Bravo, our deepest commitment is to making sure you get the perfect match when you add a Rancho Bravo horse or pony to your family. We understand that choosing a horse is a significant decision, one built on trust and the hope for a lasting partnership. That's why we proudly offer our exclusive 15-Day "Perfect Match" Guarantee on eligible horse and pony purchases.
This guarantee is designed to provide you with an extra layer of confidence, ensuring that the horse or pony you select is truly the right fit for your needs, skills, and home environment.
How Our Guarantee Works
1. Opt-In to the Guarantee
When purchasing your horse or pony, you'll have the option to add our 15-Day "Perfect Match" Guarantee for a one-time fee equal to $250 or 10% of the horse's purchase price, whichever is higher. This fee helps us cover the costs associated with facilitating an exchange, should one be necessary.
2. The 15-Day Period
Your 15-day guarantee period begins on the day your horse or pony arrives at your location (as documented by delivery confirmation from the hauler). This gives you two full weeks to get to know your new partner, ride in your usual environment, and ensure he or she is settling in well.
3. Assessing the Match
During this time, we encourage you to interact with the horse as you normally would. If, for any reason related to temperament, suitability for the rider's skill level, or general compatibility (excluding new injury or illness occurring after delivery), you feel the horse is not the "Perfect Match," contact us to initiate an exchange.
4. The Exchange Process
If you decide to utilize the guarantee within the 15-day period, you may exchange the horse for another horse or pony of equal or lesser value from Rancho Bravo. If you select a horse of greater value, you will be responsible for the difference in price. The original guarantee fee is non-refundable and does not apply to the exchanged horse (a new guarantee can be purchased for the new horse if desired).
Important Conditions & Considerations
- Notification: You must notify us in writing (email is acceptable) of your intent to use the guarantee on or before the 15th day of the guarantee period. If the return is for a serious behavioral problem, video documentation is required.
- Horse's Condition: The horse or pony must be returned in the same (or better) health and sound condition as it was upon delivery, free from any new injury, illness, or significant weight loss. We reserve the right to a veterinary examination upon return. If any new injuries, illness, or weight loss has occurred, the exchange credit will be adjusted accordingly at our discretion.
- Transportation: The buyer is responsible for all transportation costs associated with returning the original horse and shipping the exchange horse. We can assist in arranging transport with a trusted hauler.
- Exclusions: This guarantee does not cover:
- Illness or injury that occurs after the horse has been purchased (ownership is transferred at the time payment is received in full).
- Issues arising from improper care, handling, or training methods used by the buyer.
- Buyer's remorse unrelated to the horse's suitability or temperament as represented.
- Change in the buyer's personal circumstances.
- Horses sold "as-is" or explicitly excluded from the guarantee at the time of sale (this will be clearly noted).
- One-Time Exchange: The guarantee allows for one exchange per original purchase.
- No Cash Refunds: The "Perfect Match" Guarantee is for exchange credit only. No cash refunds of the horse's purchase price will be provided under this guarantee. The guarantee fee itself is non-refundable.
